Daytona Gilroy-Briand is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist who has been practicing in the GTA for four years. Graduating from Concordia University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science Specializing in Athletic Therapy, Daytona then attended the Ontario College of Health and Technology to obtain her diploma in Massage Therapy. Daytona also completed her Master’s of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Science through McMaster University’s School of Health Sciences where she focused her research on intervention strategies to minimize recurrent hamstring injuries in athletic populations.

Daytona has experience working with a variety of patient populations. Daytona has worked in USport and the CCAA the past three years, most recently holding the title of Head Athletic Therapist at the University of Toronto Mississauga. She has also continued to work with the general population in a private clinic setting to help encourage health and wellness to all.

Having completed continuing education in Soft Tissue Release and SwimEx Pool Therapy, Daytona is also in the process of completing her acupuncture diploma from Meridian Health Education.

Daytona’s passion for sport and wellness extends into her daily life, where she plays soccer, volleyball, and does yoga. Her motivation to encourage safe and rapid return to sport for all of her athletes and patients and her passion for encouraging an active lifestyle makes her thoroughly enjoy her daily work as a Certified Athletic Therapist/Registered Massage Therapist.
