Daytona Gilroy-Briand

DAYTONA GILROY-BRIAND, M.Sc., RMT, CAT(C)

Daytona Gilroy-Briand is a Certified Athletic Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist and acupuncture provider working at Total Health Link and Progressive Sports Medicine. Graduating from Concordia University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science specializing in Athletic Therapy, Daytona then attended the Ontario College of Health and Technology to obtain her diploma in Massage Therapy. Daytona has also completed her Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Science through McMaster University’s School of Health Sciences where she focused her research on intervention strategies to minimize recurrent hamstring injuries in athletic populations. In addition, she has completed her diploma in acupuncture and dry needling. 

Daytona has experience working with a variety of patient populations. Daytona has worked in USport in the RSEQ, OUA, and the CCAA. She most recently held the title of Head Athletic Therapist at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus. She continues to work as well with general populations in a private clinic setting to help encourage health and wellness to all.

Daytona’s passion for sport and wellness extends into her daily life, where she plays soccer, goes to the gym, and does yoga. Her motivation to encourage safe and rapid return to sport and day-to-day function for all of her athletes and patients as well as her passion for encouraging an active lifestyle makes her thoroughly enjoy her daily work as a Certified Athletic Therapist/Registered Massage Therapist.
